MOVIE REVIEW: Brotherly Love

I have been eager to watch this movie. It's finally on Netflix so if you haven't watched it go watch it now. The movie was really good I rate 9 out of 10. Movie setting was in the city of Philadelphia, I guess that's where the title comes from, Haha. Or does it? Brotherly Love is an American drama film written and directed by Jamal Hill. The plot twist was so unexpected and very believable/relate-able. The film stars Keke Palmer, Cory Hardrict, Eric D. Hill, and Quincy Brown and executive produced by Queen Latifah for her production company Flavor Unit Films, Electric Republic and Jacavi Film. The movie soundtrack is good too. Brotherly Love follows star high school basketball player Sergio Taylor (played by Eric Hill) as he struggles to navigate the fame that comes with being a star athlete. Sergio's older brother June (Cory Hardict) saw his own basketball dreams fade away when he turned to the streets to provide for his family after the death of their father. Sergio's twin sister Jackie (KeKe Palmer) saw her ambitions of having a music career sidetracked after unexpectedly falling in love with Chris (played by Quincy) The story line is great and will have you in a jaw drop and if you're like me in tears at the end (yes I can be sensitive i cried at the end of full house). The movie teaches you to trust no one, everything comes back full circle good and bad. It also reminds you every decision has consequences! One of my favorite quotes from the movie. "Your character determines your fate, not your talent" Go see the movie, I don't want to give too much away. I promise you own be disappointed.
